Deciding to stop

After our last review Finley had a series of illnesses including a chest infection with high temperature. I just couldn't face putting it on him when he was ill even when his temperature went back to normal. So we have stopped. We have a review on 3rd January to rescan for the final results so we will see whether the hand measurements were accurate and if there has been any change since we stopped.

I dont feel we achieved much of a result. I guess that's why some providers refuse to helmet older babies. The results are often not worth the money or time for the paying customer.

Will report back in January with final figures.

Merry Christmas to all Finley's blog readers!!

I can see why you decided to stop the helmet treatment. I know I have read how much harder it is to get improvement after a certain age. Eli still has a flat spot on the back of his head that will never go away...and he's NEVER on it anymore. Guess the damage was done. I think Finley looks perfect!!! Kiss his head for me! Merry Christmas to you too!

Great blog. Thanks for sharing. Your son's CI might have ended at 97% but his head's shape improved a lot. It is rounded and really looks normal. CI should be an indication for doctors only I guess, coz no one else is going to measure your son's head. If you are still checking your blog, could you let us know how Finley is now? Thanks!
